Model names never change silently

A model name always means the same model, settings and quantization. We never swap it for another model, a different quantization or another site to save cost or protect availability.

When something must change:

• Retirement or an old name ending: at least 14 days' notice, with an alternative or the current name.

• Urgent safety withdrawal: announced as soon as confirmed.

• Dedicated deployments: pinned. Changes are agreed with you first.

After a retirement, calls return 410 model_retired or 410 model_name_retired with the alternative to use.
